2、语境联想 将生词置于句子或段落之中,通过生词所在的句子的上下文义和前后搭配,理解该词的词义和用法,回忆时又联想其所在句子或段落,从而达到记忆的目的。这种语境联想记忆方法比孤立记忆单词或者词表的效果要好。比如识记bright(明亮的), callous(无感觉的), salient(显著的), wither(枯萎)五个生词。单独记忆较困难,但将其融入下列句子中,其词义不言自明,易于识记和回忆。
1) Lack of education blighted his chances of success.
2) Even the most callous observer would be moved by news report about the war. 3) It was so late that it was futile to try to catch the train.
4) I noticed her blue eyes immediately; they were her most salient the features.
5) You‘d better water the flowers, or they will wither. 如果将同源词、同义词、同音词、反义词、类属词以及其它关系词配对分组,并融入句子段落中,其记忆效率不可比拟。
例如:
1) I suppose that everyone except me will accept the invitation.
2) I‘m sorry to desert you before the desert is served.
3) This horse has just given birth to a foal.
4) The door was clean ,but the handle was contaminated.
